Hazy IPA

This ain’t your average Hazy IPA Lagunitas Brewing Company Beer Speaks Logo

Our newest Hazy IPA

A juicy, full-flavored spin on our legendary IPA with hazy twist– It still has that bold hop character but easier, breezier, and definitely way hazier. Packed with flavor, its like sipping on a tropical cloud—soft, silky smooth with no bitter finish weighing you down. Super drinkable at just 5.5% ABV, this ain’t your average hazy IPA.

Mouthfeels

We use a combination of Mosaic, Citra, Sabro, and Eukanot hops to create a fruit bomb with notes of pineapple, guava, and passionfruit, all wrapped up in unicorn pillowy mouthfeel. Full of flavor, just like the original IPA, at 5.5% ABV, it’s super drinkable and way smoother, perfect for those who love bold beers without bitterness.

Beverage Specs

ABV

5.5%

Beer math on ABV is pretty straightforward. The higher the ABV, the more alcohol in the beer. See, no rocket science necessary.

IBU

40

Generally speaking, a high IBU beer will have a more bitter taste than a lower IBU beer.

OG

12.5

The OG measures solids in the wort before fermentation to consistently arrive at the same alcohol content of a beer. Pretty neat, huh?

Beer 101: Hazy Beer

This is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down. The world’s first IPA begins with an entrepreneur, who was lucky to have located his brewery business close to the East India Company, which was in the business of bringing exotic stuff back to the UK, and that meant the ships were a little light on the way there (plenty of room for beer). His name was Richard Hodgson and the brewery was called the Bow Brewery. Sadly, that brewery is gone and sitting in its place are some boring condos.
