GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining all Lagunitas creative through digital media, print advertising, promotional materials, event collateral and packaging. Some of the main job responsibilities are to ensure creative consistency across all consumer touch points while executing against the brand strategy and manage project workflow process to ensure all creative deliverables are completed efficiently and on-time.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or directly related field; 3-5 years of experience at an agency or in-house creative department; be proficient in InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator; be familiar with print production; have experience developing assets for social media platforms. Experience designing packaging and a basic understanding of CSS is a plus.

FLEET MANAGER

Job Duties:
Oversee day-to-day operations of Lagunitas transportation team, including fleet maintenance, monthly reporting, status of internal purchase orders and oversight of staff (hiring, scheduling, training, review/ approval of time cards, etc.). The Fleet Manager would also be responsible for driving equipment requiring Class A license, to achieve safe and timely fulfillment of customer orders and consistent, timely delivery of requested raw materials for manufacturing and packaging lines.

PARKING LOT ATTENDANT

Job Duties:
A Parking Attendant attends designated parking area at entrance/exit during established business hours and directs drivers to appropriate parking areas. The Parking Attendant, regulates traffic in assigned lots and provides parking information to visitors and monitors lot to ensure cars are parked in designated spaces and not blocking traffic flow. Prior experience as a lot attendant is desired.

Physical Requirements:

Set up, operate and maintain all audio related sound engineering for live performances in the Chicago TapRoom. Chicago BrewHouse Openings

BREWER – 3rd Shift (11pm to 7:30am)

Job Duties:
Merely brewing at Lagunitas is interesting. But we keep it interesting-er by keepin’ you moving around. Brewers at Lagunitas Brewing Company in Chicago will rotate through the BrewHouse, cellar, and filtration: In the BrewHouse, the brewer is responsible for monitoring all aspects of wort production in a Rolec 250 BBL BrewHouse as well as transitioning the batch into fermentation; in the Cellar, the brewer is responsible for the key activities that bring wort to finished mature beer; and in filtration, the brewer is responsible for clarifying the mature beer and bringing it within specification for packaging.
Must have the ability to complete a variety of brewing calculations, a strong working knowledge of CIP, COP, and sanitizing principles, able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, and a strong knowledge of craft beer and the brewing process. Experience working with a 50 BBL or larger brewing system and Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping and systems strongly preferred.

TRUCK DRIVER

Job Duties:
Our truck driver’s primary responsibility is to safely transport and deliver Lagunitas’ products to our customer and our warehouses in a timely manner, adhering to all State and Federal transportation laws and regulations. Our truck drivers must be able to maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion during the daytime or nighttime, which includes proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, and matching speeds to road conditions (wet, dry, snow, or ice). Communication is important as our truck drivers are expected to periodically check in with the Transportation Department throughout shift to ensure updated information, delivery/return time expectations are known.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving commercial trucks; Completion of a creditable CDL training school or truck driving school is desired; Experience driving, backing-up, and maneuvering multi-rear axle trucks into tight loading docks, in heavy traffic, and down narrow streets; Have a general maintenance knowledge of multi-rear axle trucks, meeting the requirements for Illinois Commercial Driver’s Licensing; must be able to perform pre & post trip inspections and properly fill out DOT log book; Be proficient in Federal and State Trucking and safety laws and regulations; Understand air brake systems of transportation vehicle; Must show valid proof of insurance, have a good driving record and maintain a current valid state commercial driver’s license; license must be a Class A; and must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Duties:
The Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance to production equipment with focus on keeping our new, state of the art brewing and packaging facility at peak operational performance and efficiency, always considering safety and quality as top priorities. Some of the primary duties includes installing and maintaining electric motors, control cabinets, motor starters, drives, wiring, sensors, switches, and general electric/electronic devices; Troubleshooting and maintaining control systems, HMI’s (PanelView), programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens), Variable Frequency Drives, and power distribution systems. Maintains and calibrates instrumentation equipment (Endress + Huaser) & troubleshoots and maintains industrial process control networks and components.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience in the food or beverage industry; and experience with trouble shooting and basic programming of automated equipment control platforms (i.e., Allen- Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Rockwell Automation). Brewing or high speed carbonated beverage packaging experience strongly preferred. Ability to understand and troubleshoot fiber optics and telephone lines is a plus.

Some of the primary duties includes installing and maintaining pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, bushings, sprockets, sheaves, belts, and general mechanical equipment. Perform precision alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes, sprockets, and sheaves and troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial mechanical experience in the food or beverage industry, brewing or high speed carbonated beverage packaging experience strongly preferred; experience with troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems, air compressors, hydraulic systems, mechanical power, pumps, gearboxes, valves, heat exchangers, and mechanical components; ability to complete basic electrical maintenance; welding experience preferred (MIG, TIG, Arc and Sanitary along with Torch and Plasma); ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals; Ability to use precision measuring and alignment tools; understanding of shop equipment (mill, lathe, grinder, bend, break, shear, and press); experience completing preventive maintenance activities; and be results driven, proactive, able to work effectively individually and within a team.

Some of the primary duties includes operating and maintaining Trance Chillers, CleaverBrooks Boilers, Atlas Copco Compressors and Carrier roof mounted HVAC units; maintaining brewing and packaging equipment; and installing and maintaining electric motors, control cabinets, motor starters, drives, wiring, sensors, switches, and general electric/electronic devices.
Qualified candidates must be a licensed Chicago Stationary Engineer. Other qualifications are: must have 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in the food or beverage industry or 2 year technical degree plus 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in the food or beverage industry, brewing or high speed carbonated beverage packaging experience strongly preferred; experience with troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems; ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals; ability to use precision measuring equipment and special tools; and have experience completing preventive maintenance activities.
