Through thorough knowledge of the Lagunitas menu and handcrafted beers, this position creates a positive, friendly guest interaction by providing exceptional service and hospitality. Responsible for checking the identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol and serving alcoholic beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with Lagunitas standards and laws. Utilizes pub POS system to process guests’ payment transactions and maintains constant communication with bartenders, food runners, and bussers to ensure efficient pub procedures.
Must be at least 21 years of age with prior service experience in a high volume restaurant or pub. Thrives in a fast paced environment and is willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must have excellent organization and problem solving skills; work well under pressure; basic math skills; demonstrate integrity, mature judgment in handling all matters; and strong team work ethic and mentality. An outgoing personality, positive attitude, strong verbal communication skills and general knowledge of craft beer are desired. Must be willing to obtain Lead Certificate, Food Handler Certificate, and Beer Server Cicerone Training upon hire.
Physical Requirements: The majority of the shift is spent standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Environment is primarily indoors/outdoors and may involve noise and temperature changes.
