Hops for Crops Mercenary (25-30 hours/week)

Assists the Donations department by representing Lagunitas at local Farmer's Markets. Through product sales at these events, this seasonal position will raise funds for local non-profit organizations that focus on farming and farming education. Our Hops for Crops Mercenary will represent and communicate the program to customers and answer inquiries, describing and recommending Lagunitas' Ales.

We have 3 openings in the North Bay for April-October:

·         Sonoma County - 25-30 hours/week - 2 openings

·         Marin County - 25-30 hours/week - 1 opening

The duties include transporting product from our Petaluma Brewery for use at local Farmer's Markets; arrival to event within timeframe for proper setup of all material and displays; and organizing booth to attract customers and represent Lagunitas and the Lagunitas vibe. Responsible for checking identification of all customers and cash handling procedures. Breakdown and cleanup of booth and displays; tracking inventory of product and measure needs for upcoming events; and completion of a post-event recap with an ability to communicate insight to benefits and issues that arise with each event. May assist the Field Marketing team with additional events outside of Farmer's Markets.

Qualified candidates must be at least 21 years of age, understand draft systems and how to properly pour beer. Prior Farmer's Market event experience preferred: including the organization, set up and successful execution of the event; basic knowledge of MS Office; ability to demonstrate integrity and mature judgment in handling all matters; excellent organization and problem solving skills; work well under pressure and within a fast paced environment; and an outgoing personality, positive attitude and excellent professional verbal communication skills. We are looking for someone highly motivated, dependable, and able to attend all scheduled Farmer's Markets which include holidays, evenings and weekends. Must have a passion for the community, local farms and Farmer's Markets, and for Lagunitas and the craft beer business!

Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely lift and transport up to 160lbs with the help of a handcart, and have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history (in CA with acceptable insurance record). This position requires the following physical efforts throughout the majority of the shift: standing, walking, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing. The work environment is primarily outdoors and may involve noise and temperature changes. This position may be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing.
