This strategic thinker is responsible for all category development work and will provide essential analytical support to their assigned chain sales account team(s). Proactively manages information to facilitate craft beer category, retailer and Lagunitas brand growth; develop fact-based category insights that provide the customer with critical information on the consumer, product assortment, in-store merchandising, and space planning analysis. Our CDM operates as both a thought-leader and a dynamic do-er.
Develop joint scorecard & Lagunitas performance scorecards with retailer to support analysis of account performance. Identifies Lagunitas and craft category opportunities through robust data analysis. Proactively communicates insights and opportunities to Lagunitas and customers. Analyzes volume impact, ROI of planned programs & trade promotions Supports National Accounts Sales teams’ calls by defining Lagunitas business opportunities via analysis of the category, region, channel and shopper (synthesizing available data sources). Analyzes data and develop analysis to support Sales call objectives. Assists Chain Sales Director(s) to identify opportunities and answer performance and information inquiries. Prepares summaries of findings for use in sales presentations. Manages data and general category performance reporting. Assists account team with requests for information; handle retailer database management; maintenance, analysis and affiliated reporting; conduct regular scorecard analysis based on retailer schedule.
Requires a bachelor’s degree; Post-graduate degree preferred. Strong organization and communication skills to discern and address the needs of customers, employees, stakeholders, and company leadership. A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, sales management, key account management, sales planning, customer strategy or customer development roles. CPG experience, adult beverage industry experience preferred. Strong technical experience with advanced software skills including syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI, Spectra) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred. Familiar with consumer panel data and shopper data (i.e. Nielsen, Homescan) reporting systems. Understands adult beverage chain sales, retail and distributor operations; in-store execution practices; the tools and techniques to merchandise and market at retail. Demonstrated leadership capacity motivating and unifying teams. Ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic environment.
