Let’s back up before the original Waldos collaboration brew, and even before the Saint Patrick’s Day Massacre bust of 2005, and keep going to even before humans were beings, about 25 million years ago (this is after dinosaurs y’all, so just so we’re all together, it goes: dinosaurs, weed, hops, humans then Twinkies).
For All The Treasure Hunters
This is the one – Waldos’ Special Ale. Made in honor of the origins of 420, a triple IPA, with the help of the Waldos themselves…
In 1971, the Waldos met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a ’66 Impala armed with a “treasure map” on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden….But they keep lookin’. So we keep brewin’ this beer every year in time for 4/20. For all the treasure hunters everywhere.
Waldos' Treasure Hunt
The Sticky Icky
First things first—when it comes to beer and food pairings you must break down the flavors you’re workin’ with. The zymurgical institution that is the Waldos Triple IPA has been described at times as herbaceous, botanical, resinous, and dank. We hope we have you salivating. Now go get cookin’ (or takeout-ordering…no judgment), and find your favorite Waldos pairing.
